Glenurquhart Highland Games

It is with deep regret, that due to COVID-19, the Committee of Glenurquhart Highland Gathering and Games announce the cancellation of this year’s event which was due to be held on Saturday 22nd August 2020.

Our thanks goes to everyone, both past and present, who volunteered since 1945 in making Glen Urquhart Highland Gathering & Games happen. To the next 75 years – Slainte’

As we look forwards we are concentrating our efforts on creating a special celebration for Sat 28th August 2021. As a result, we now invite anyone who wishes to get involved in delivering next year’s unique event to contact us.

For the moment we extend our best wishes to everyone both at home and abroad. Keep safe and we look forward to seeing you all in happier and safer times.

Drumnadrochit Highland Games

Glenurquhart Highland Games include the traditional events performed by the heavyweight athletes – throwing weights and hammers and tossing the caber. In addition, there is the Glen Challenge, hill race, track running for adults and children, solo piping and the very popular tug o’war. A select number of trade stands will cater for your shopping needs.

ALL competitors should note that admission WILL be charged, unless they are in possession of an admission ticket.
