No holiday in Scotland is complete without a visit to Loch Ness. Drumnadrochit lies 14 miles from Inverness on the northern shore of Loch Ness and is an ideal location for exploring the surrounding area.

Why not come and join in the fun at our annual Highland Gathering and Games?

Visitors are welcome to take part in the following events:

  • Glen Challenge
  • Hill Race
  • Auld Scottish Race – a Kilt Race, but you do need your own kilt!
  • Any of the afternoon track & field or heavy events

Did you know…?

Loch Ness is over 20 miles long, a mile wide and 700 feet at its deepest, it is the largest body of fresh water in Scotland by volume.

The area is filled with historic attractions, natural wonders, cosy places to stay, and superb eateries. The Loch Ness Monster is just one of the many myths and legends to be discovered in this particularly beautiful part of Scotland.
